Hotels In Tokyo
You can find all types of hotels in Tokyo, from the very cheap to the most expensive. Both categories can be found around the city, so most areas will have both cheap and expensive hotels in the neighborhood. If you’re staying with a Western type hotel you will also find a staff that speaks English.
Budget Hotels
As far as cheap hotels are concerned, they can be found mostly in Taito. The cheapest option at your disposal is the capsule hotel. The problem with them is that they have rules that are a bit hard to explain to foreigners, so they might not allow people that are not native in them. Another problem is that most of them don’t accept women. Very few capsule hotels have floors that for women only.
Mid Range Hotels
There are plenty of mid-range hotels in Tokyo, most of them being rated at least 3 stars. If you want the best services possible, Tokyo hotels are the best, and they are usually placed in great locations with stunning views of the city.
You also have the option to go to a business hotel, that usually has small rooms but are placed in the vicinity of stations. If you travel alone, these small rooms will be OK and the price is acceptable. Two of the better chains of business hotels are Sunroute and Tokyu Stay.
Luxury Hotels
Going for these hotels can end up costing you a lot of money. You can find most luxury hotel chains to be represented in Tokyo. In many cases these will be located in Shinjuku, Akasaka and in the vicinity of Tokyo station.
